Biography
Dave Holstein is an American writer and producer. Born in Houston, Texas, in 1983, he graduated from Northwestern University.
He began his career as a staff writer on the Showtime series Weeds (2008–2012) and went on to write for The Brink (2015), I'm Dying Up Here (2017) and other television programmes. He created, wrote and served as showrunner for the Showtime comedy Kidding (2018–2020), starring Jim Carrey.
Holstein co-wrote the screenplay for the Pixar film Inside Out 2 (2024) with Meg LeFauve.
