Biography
Dave Turner is a British actor. He is known for his roles in three films directed by Ken Loach: Harry Edwards in I, Daniel Blake (2016), Magpie in Sorry We Missed You (2019), and the lead role of TJ Ballantyne in The Old Oak (2023).
A retired firefighter from Blaydon in the North East of England, Turner had no professional acting experience prior to his small parts in Loach's earlier films set in the region. He was cast as the lead in The Old Oak after working in a local pub following his retirement from the fire service.
