Biography
Dave Blass is an American production designer and art director. He was born on 1 December 1968 in Ashland, Massachusetts, and studied at Emerson College in Boston. He began his career working on low-budget films at Roger Corman’s studio before moving into television.
Blass is known for his production design on the series Justified (2010–2014), Rectify (2013), Quantico (2015), Preacher (2016–2017), The Boys (2019) and Star Trek: Picard (2020–2023). His work on Justified earned him three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for art direction and production design, as well as an Art Directors Guild nomination. He received the honour of Kentucky Colonel in 2011 for his portrayal of Kentucky on the series. He is a member of the Art Directors Guild and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
