Biography
David Fane is a New Zealand actor born on 28 December 1966 in Auckland. He trained at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School, graduating with a Diploma in Acting in 1992.
Fane is a founding member of the Naked Samoans theatre company and co-wrote and voiced multiple characters in the animated series Bro'Town (2004–2009). His film roles include Eric Elisi in Eagle vs Shark (2007), Mr. Va'a in The Tattooist (2007), Ace in Next Goal Wins (2023) and the voice of Kele in Moana 2 (2024). He was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) in 2023 for services to the performing arts.
