Biography
David Koplan is a film producer and founder of Magnetic Fields Entertainment. He has more than 25 years of experience in the industry and has worked as producer or executive producer on a range of studio and independent films.
A graduate of the University of Virginia, Koplan serves on the board of the Virginia Film Festival and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. His credits include producer on The Smashing Machine (2025) and Spirited (2022), and executive producer on Uncut Gems (2019), Daddy's Home (2015) and Dumb and Dumber To (2014). He has also produced Papillon (2017), Thanks for Sharing (2013) and Leaves of Grass (2009).
