Biography
David L. Bertman is an American film and television editor and director. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and studied at Carnegie Mellon University before transferring to the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
He is known for his editing work on television series including Gilmore Girls (2003–2005), This Is Us (2016), American Housewife (2016–2020) and Only Murders in the Building (2021–), as well as the feature film This Is 40 (2012). Bertman has also directed episodes of American Housewife and several short films, including his award-winning student project Try, Try Again.
