Biography
David Levien is an American screenwriter, novelist, director and producer. He studied at the University of Michigan and has frequently collaborated with writing partner Brian Koppelman since the late 1990s.
Levien co-wrote the screenplays for Rounders (1998), Runaway Jury (2003), Ocean's Thirteen (2007) and The Girlfriend Experience (2009). He and Koppelman co-created, executive produced and served as showrunners on the television series Billions (2016–2023). Levien has also directed films including Knockaround Guys (2001) and Solitary Man (2009), and has published several novels, among them the Frank Behr crime series.
