Biography
David M. Stern is an American television screenwriter. He is the younger brother of actor Daniel Stern.
His early television work included writing episodes of The Wonder Years in the late 1980s, where he served as executive story consultant. He later joined the writing staff of The Simpsons, contributing episodes such as "Bart Gets an F" (1990), "Homer Alone" (1992) and "Selma's Choice" (1993), and worked as a producer and creative consultant on the series. His final writing credit for the show was the 2017 episode "Kamp Krustier". In 2010, he developed the animated series Ugly Americans.
Stern has also written for Monk and Oliver Beene, and received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his work on The Wonder Years and The Simpsons.
