Biography

David Proval is an American actor. He was born on 20 May 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of actress Clara Katz.

Proval is known for his role as Tony DeVienazo in Martin Scorsese's Mean Streets (1973). His other film credits include Snooze in The Shawshank Redemption (1994), Siegfried in Four Rooms (1995) and a cameo in Smokin' Aces (2006). He provided the voice of Necron 99 in the animated film Wizards (1977). On television he played Richie Aprile in The Sopranos (1999–2007) and had a recurring role in Everybody Loves Raymond (1996–2005). He is also credited as Clark Katz.
