Biography
David Robbins is an American composer. Born on 29 January 1955 in Los Angeles, California, he is the brother of actor and director Tim Robbins. He has composed scores and provided music supervision and arrangement for numerous films and television productions.
Robbins is known for his work on Dead Man Walking (1995), for which he composed the score and served as music supervisor, Bob Roberts (1992), Gattaca (1997), Savior (1998), Cradle Will Rock (1999), King of California (2007) and War, Inc. (2008). He has also contributed to projects including The Brink (2015) and Welcome to Me (2015).
He serves as music director and sound systems manager for the Actors' Gang theatre company in Los Angeles. Robbins has received awards for his film and theatre work, including the Georges Delerue Award for Bob Roberts at the Ghent Film Festival.
