Biography
David Walpert is an American television writer and producer. He wrote episodes for the sitcom Ellen in the mid-1990s before contributing to Sports Night (1998–2000), where he also served as executive story editor and co-producer.
His later writing credits include episodes of Just Shoot Me!, The Job, New Girl, House of Lies and the 2019 revival of Veronica Mars. He has also worked as a producer on several of these series.
Walpert attended the Gilman School in Baltimore and Amherst College, and briefly studied law before entering television writing through a Disney programme.
