Biography
Dax Shepard is an American actor, comedian and filmmaker. He was born on 2 January 1975 in Michigan and graduated from UCLA with a degree in anthropology. He trained in improv and sketch comedy at The Groundlings theatre in Los Angeles.
Shepard first gained attention as a cast member on the MTV series Punk'd. His film credits include Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005), Employee of the Month (2006), Idiocracy (2006) as Frito, and Let's Go to Prison (2006). He starred as Crosby Braverman in the NBC series Parenthood (2010–2015) and wrote, directed and starred in CHiPs (2017). He has hosted the podcast Armchair Expert since 2018.
Shepard is married to actress Kristen Bell.
