Biography
Dean O'Gorman is a New Zealand actor. He is known for playing the dwarf Fíli in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit film trilogy, appearing in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012), The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014). He also portrayed Kirk Douglas in the biographical film Trumbo (2015).
O'Gorman was born in Auckland and began acting in the 1990s with roles in series such as Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess. He has appeared in other films including The Convert (2023) and television series such as The Almighty Johnsons. He married Sarah Wilson in 2016.
