Biography

Declan Quinn is an American cinematographer. Born in 1957 in Chicago, Illinois, he studied film at Columbia College Chicago after initially training in still photography.

He began his career in Ireland, where he worked on music videos for U2 and documentaries about the band before returning to the United States in 1989. Quinn received the Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography for Leaving Las Vegas (1995), Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love (1996) and In America (2003).

His other credits include Vanya on 42nd Street (1994), Rachel Getting Married (2008) and Monsoon Wedding (2001). He has collaborated repeatedly with director Mira Nair.
