Biography

Denis Forest (5 September 1960 – 18 March 2002) was a Canadian character actor. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, he trained at the Ryerson Theatre School and was an early founding member of the Autumn Angel Repertory theatre company. He was an associate artist with the Necessary Angel Theatre Company from 1982 to 1987 and received a Dora Mavor Moore Award nomination for Best Original Play in 1984.

Forest moved to Los Angeles in 1990 and appeared in numerous films and television series. He played Heldon in Cliffhanger (1993) and Sweet Eddy in The Mask (1994). Other credits include roles in Eraser (1996), Storm of the Century (1999) and The Shield (2002). He was the lead villain in the second season of the television series War of the Worlds. Forest died in Los Angeles following a massive stroke.
