Biography
Derek Rogers is a Canadian cinematographer. He graduated from Ryerson Polytechnic in Toronto and began working in film and television in the late 1980s.
Rogers is best known for his work on the 1997 Canadian feature Cube, directed by Vincenzo Natali, for which he received the Canadian Society of Cinematographers Award for best theatrical feature cinematography in 1999. He also shot Elevated (1997) for the same director, as well as Cypher (2002) and Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004). His credits include numerous feature films, television movies and series, and documentaries.
In 2005 he won a Gemini Award for best photography in a documentary programme or series for Shipbreakers.
