Biography
Derren Nesbitt is a British actor. Born Derren Michael Horwitz in London in 1935, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and began his career in the mid-1950s, often billed early on as Derry Nesbitt.
He appeared in numerous British television series and films from the late 1950s onwards, frequently in villainous or untrustworthy roles. Notable credits include Tegana in Doctor Who (1964), Sandy in Victim (1961), New Number Two in The Prisoner (1967), and Major von Hapen in Where Eagles Dare (1968). He also played DCI Jordan in the series Special Branch (1969–1970).
Nesbitt has continued to work into later decades, with film roles including Sinclair in Flawless (2007) and Jackie in Tucked (2018). He wrote, produced and directed the 1975 film The Amorous Milkman.
