Biography
Desmond Eastwood is a Northern Irish actor. Born in Lisburn, he attended Friends' School Lisburn and graduated with a law degree from Queen's University Belfast in 2014. He then trained at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin.
Eastwood is known for playing Niall in the 2020 series Normal People, a role that earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Irish Film & Television Awards. He has appeared in Vikings (2020) as a Messenger, Krypton (2018) as Taz-Ran, Derry Girls (2022) as Benny, In the Land of Saints and Sinners (2023) as Curtis June, Blue Lights (2023–) as DS Murray Canning, The Last Rifleman (2023) as Tony McCann, and Old Guy (2024) as Colton. He is the younger brother of filmmaker Colum Eastwood.
