Biography
Diana Maria Riva is an American actress who has worked in stage, film and television since the mid-1990s. She was born Diana-Maria Uhlenbrock on 22 July 1969 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is of Dominican American heritage.
She trained at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, receiving a BFA in 1991 and an MFA in Theatre Performance in 1995. Riva began her screen career with guest roles in series such as Common Law (1996) and Murder One, later appearing in recurring parts on Philly (2001–02), The Good Guys (2010) and Dead to Me.
Her film credits include What Women Want (2000), Our Family Wedding (2010), Short Term 12 (2013) as Nurse Beth, McFarland, USA (2015) and Noelle (2019). She has also had regular or recurring roles in Telenovela (2015–16) and Gordita Chronicles (2022).
