Biography
Diane Weyermann was an American film producer and chief content officer at Participant Media. She was born Diane Hope Weyermann in St. Louis, Missouri, on 22 September 1955 and died in New York City on 14 October 2021.
She graduated from George Washington University in 1977 and received a Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1981. After working in legal aid, she obtained a Master of Fine Arts in film from Columbia College Chicago in 1992. Weyermann directed the Sundance Institute’s Documentary Film Program until 2005, when she joined Participant Media.
She produced An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power (2017) and was executive producer on Citizenfour (2014), Food, Inc. (2008), American Factory (2019) and other documentaries.
