Biography
Dick Vitale is an American basketball sportscaster and former coach. He coached at East Rutherford High School, the University of Detroit and the Detroit Pistons before joining ESPN in 1979 as a college basketball analyst.
Vitale has appeared as himself in several films and television programmes. His credits include Hoop Dreams (1994), Blue Chips (1994), He Got Game (1998), Love & Basketball (2000) and The 6th Man (1997). He played Hal Gibson in the 1995 film Jury Duty and appeared on The Cosby Show in 1992.
