Biography

Didi Conn is an American actress. Born Edith Bernstein in Brooklyn, New York, on 13 July 1951, she attended Midwood High School and began her career in the 1970s.

She is best known for playing Frenchy in the films Grease (1978) and Grease 2 (1982). Other prominent roles include Denise Stevens Downey in the sitcom Benson (1981–1984) and Stacy Jones in the children's series Shining Time Station (1989–1995). She also appeared as Vi in the 2016 television special Grease Live!, the only performer to feature in all three screen adaptations of the franchise.

Conn has made guest appearances in series such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Blue Bloods, and in films including Frida (2002). She has been married to composer David Shire since 1984.
