Biography
Dinah Manoff is an American actress and television director. Born in New York City, she is the daughter of actress Lee Grant and screenwriter Arnold Manoff. She studied at the Actors Studio.
Manoff began her career in the mid-1970s and appeared in the film Grease (1978) as Marty. She played Karen in Ordinary People (1980) and Libby Tucker in the stage and film versions of I Ought to Be in Pictures (1980 stage; 1982 film), for which she received a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play. Other film roles include Maggie Peterson in Child's Play (1988). On television she was a regular on Soap (as Elaine Lefkowitz) and Empty Nest (as Carol Weston, 1988–1995), and has directed episodes of several series.
