Biography
Dusty Kay was an American television writer and producer. Born Eugene Lawrence Kay in the Bronx, New York, in October 1954 and raised in Yonkers and Spring Valley, he attended Northwestern University.
He created the short-lived 1987 ABC series Once a Hero and wrote episodes of Roseanne (1988) and Entourage (2004). He also served as producer on Roseanne (season 7), Entourage (season 4) and other series including Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and Early Edition. Kay received a shared Emmy nomination for outstanding comedy series for his work on Entourage in 2008.
His other writing credits include Good Times (1974), Eight Is Enough, The Twilight Zone (2002) and telefilms such as Triplecross (1987), Mick and Frankie (1989) and Cutty Whitman (1996). With frequent collaborator Bill Nuss, he wrote the book for a musical adaptation of The Honeymooners that premiered in 2017.
