Biography
Ed Kear is a British actor, comedian, writer, director and producer from Bristol. He made his first major television appearance in the BBC Three sitcom Crims (2015) and has since become a regular on British television and in film.
His screen credits include the BBC series Ghosts (2019) as Dave Houses and Here We Go (2022–2025) as Dean, as well as roles in Slow Horses, The Acolyte (2024) and Avoidance. In film he has appeared in Spy (2015), Cruella (2021), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), The Batman (2022) and Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). He played Brigham in the 2026 BBC series Small Prophets.
Kear made his West End debut as Davey in Jez Butterworth’s Jerusalem (2022) alongside Mark Rylance. He has also written and performed in web series including Blowing the Budget.
