Biography
Edith Schlüssel was a Danish film editor. She began her career in 1917 in the reportage department of Peter Elfelt, later working at Nordisk Film and as chief editor at Palladium Film for 35 years. Active from 1934 to 1972, she edited dozens of Danish feature films across genres.
Schlüssel collaborated frequently with director Carl Theodor Dreyer, serving as editor on his final three films: Day of Wrath (1943), Ordet (1955), and Gertrud (1964). She also edited other notable Danish productions, including The Invisible Army (1945) and the first Danish animated feature Fyrtøjet (1946).
