Biography
Edna May Wonacott was an American child actress. She was born on 6 February 1932 in Willits, California, and died on 26 June 2022 in Yuma, Arizona.
Wonacott made her screen debut as Ann Newton in Alfred Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt (1943). Discovered by Hitchcock and producer Jack H. Skirball while waiting for a bus in Santa Rosa, California, she had no prior acting experience. She appeared in a small number of other films in the 1940s and early 1950s, including an uncredited role in The Bells of St. Mary's (1945), before retiring from acting.
