Biography
Édouard Montoute is a French actor born on 20 December 1970 in Cayenne, French Guiana. He moved to the Paris suburbs as a child and trained at the Cours Florent. His screen career began in 1990 with the film Jean Galmot, aventurier.
He is known for roles including Darty in La Haine (1995), Alain Trésor in the Taxi film series (1998–2018), Nexusis in Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (2002), and Racine in Femme Fatale (2002). He has also appeared in numerous television series and directed and wrote the short film Ma Dame au Camélia (2019). He has collaborated frequently with actor Frédéric Diefenthal.
