Biography
Edward James Hyland is an American actor. He is credited as Chief Justice Earl Warren in Bridge of Spies (2015). His other film roles include Professor Kendall Wallace in The Happening (2008), Bobby's Neighbor in Café Society (2016), and Mr. Longo in True Story (2015).
On television he has appeared as Det. Quattlander in Mr. Robot (2015), a Senator from Texas in The Leftovers (2014), and Curtis in Elementary (2018). Hyland has an extensive stage career, with Broadway credits including roles in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Arcadia.
He is the father of actress Sarah Hyland, with whom he appeared in The Object of My Affection (1998) and Cradle Will Rock (1999).
