Biography

Edward K. Milkis was an American television and film producer. A native of Los Angeles, he began his career in the film shipping department at ABC before working as a film editor on features including North by Northwest (1959) and The Time Machine (1960).

He joined the production of Star Trek (1966) as associate producer shortly before its premiere and remained with the series for three years. He later served as post-production supervisor at Paramount Television and formed a production partnership with Tom Miller. His credits include the series Happy Days (1974), Laverne & Shirley (1976) and Bosom Buddies (1980), and the films Silver Streak (1976), Foul Play (1978) and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982).

Milkis died in Los Angeles on 14 December 1996, aged 65.
