Biography
Edwin Neal is an American actor born on 12 July 1945 in Houston, Texas. After high school he studied at Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas, and then acting and directing at the University of Texas Drama Department. While there he auditioned for the role of the Hitchhiker in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) and was cast, basing the character on an eccentric relative.
Neal's later screen roles include the Mercer interrogator in JFK (1991) and Big Chuck's Henchman in My Boyfriend's Back (1993). He has worked extensively as a voice actor in video games and animated series, including a record 26 voices in an unedited version of Gatchaman.
