Biography
Eiko Ishibashi is a Japanese composer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She composed the scores for Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s films Drive My Car (2021), Evil Does Not Exist (2023) and Gift (2023), and the music for the anime series Blade of the Immortal (2019).
Born on 29 July 1974 in Mobara, Chiba, she has released numerous solo albums and collaborated frequently with musician Jim O’Rourke, who has produced several of her recordings. She is also a member of the band Kafka’s Ibiki.
