Biography
Ekow Quartey (born 12 July 1990) is a British actor. He trained at LAMDA and attended Dulwich College. He has been active in stage and screen work since 2004.
Quartey appeared as Bem in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007). His television credits include Joel Aidoo in Call the Midwife (2019), James in This Way Up (2019–2021), Pedro in Becoming Elizabeth (2022) and JJ in Amandaland (2025). Stage roles include the title part in Macbeth (Shakespeare’s Globe, 2020) and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing (2024).
