Biography
Elena Ruiz Guitart, also credited as Elena Ruiz or Elena Ruíz, is a Catalan film editor. A graduate of ESCAC, she began editing short films in the early 2000s and made her feature debut with Moscow Zero (2006).
She is known for her work on The Orphanage (2007), The Impossible (2012), The Platform (2019) and other films including Marrowbone (2017) and Pet (2016). For The Orphanage she received the best editing award at the Barcelona Film Awards and a CEC Medal, and was nominated for a Goya. For The Impossible she shared Gaudí and Goya awards for best editing with Bernat Vilaplana.
