Biography

Elinor Day is a British producer and script editor. She began her career at the BBC as a script editor on single television films before producing titles including Loved Up, In Your Dreams, Killing Me Softly, The Perfect Blue and Face.

In 1998 she joined FilmFour as deputy head of production, commissioning and executive producing features such as East Is East, Charlotte Gray (2001), Late Night Shopping (2001) and The Warrior (2001). She later served as head of film at Darlow Smithson, producing The Diary of Anne Frank (2009) and executive producing Thrilla in Manila (2008) and Micro Men (2009).

As an independent producer and series producer her credits include White Heat (2012), series two of My Mad Fat Diary, series four of Secret Diary of a Call Girl (2011), Responsible Child (2019) and series two of Killing Eve (2019), on which she is also credited as a writer. In 2019 she joined See-Saw Films as an executive producer in its UK television division. She has also executive produced House of Guinness (2025).
