Biography
Elisabeth Williams is a Canadian production designer, art director and set decorator. She began her career in Quebec, working as a set decorator and art director on films including The Score (2001) and Polytechnique (2009), and on Quebecois television series, before moving into production design on features such as Rhymes for Young Ghouls (2013) and Imaginaerum (2012).
Williams served as art director on the second season of the FX series Fargo (2015) and as production designer on its third season (2017). She joined The Handmaid's Tale (Hulu) as production designer from its second season in 2018, continuing through subsequent seasons. She has won three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour or More) for her work on the series, with additional nominations in the category.
