Biography
Ellen Dæhli Ystehede is a Norwegian costume designer. She trained in textile and fashion design in Oslo before completing a BA in Theatre Design at Central Saint Martins in London.
She has designed costumes for numerous Norwegian films and television series, including Happy, Happy (2010), Oslo, August 31st (2011), Blind (2014), Thelma (2017), Hope (2019) and The Worst Person in the World (2021). She has collaborated repeatedly with director Joachim Trier, most recently on Sentimental Value (2025). Her credits also include work for the National Theatre in Oslo and other stage productions.
Ystehede was born in Oslo in 1973.
