Biography
Eric Newman (born 31 December 1970) is an American film and television producer and writer from Los Angeles. He is the founder of the production company Grand Electric.
Newman began his career with early credits including story and teleplay on an episode of the series NYPD Blue (1994). He later produced films including Dawn of the Dead (2004), Children of Men (2006), In Time (2011), RoboCop (2014), Bright (2017) and Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire (2023).
He has served as executive producer and showrunner on the Netflix series Narcos (2015–2017) and Narcos: Mexico (2018–2021), and as executive producer on True Story (2021) and Zero Day (2025).
