Biography
Erin Levy is an American television writer and producer. The daughter of television writer Lawrence H. Levy, she studied screenwriting at the University of Southern California, where one of her professors was Matthew Weiner.
Levy joined the crew of the AMC series Mad Men (2007) as a writing assistant in its third season in 2009. She received her first co-writing credit on the season finale "Shut the Door. Have a Seat." and later earned a solo credit on "The Chrysanthemum and the Sword." She advanced to staff writer and producer roles on the series. Levy shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series in 2010 and Writers Guild of America Awards for her work on Mad Men.
She has written for Mindhunter (2017) and Counterpart (2017–2019), and contributed to Big Mistakes (2026). She has also served as a producer on several series, including as co-executive producer on Counterpart.
