Biography
Eugene Lee is an American actor and playwright. He is credited as Eugene S. Lee on some projects.
Born on 16 July 1953, Lee graduated with a BFA in theatre from Texas State University in 1974. He has appeared in over 200 television roles and numerous stage productions, including Broadway in American Son (2019) as Lt. John Stokes and August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean. His film credits include Menace II Society (1993) as Man #1, Coach Carter (2005) as Team Parent, Parkland (2013) as Orderly and American Son (2019).
Lee has written plays such as East Texas Hot Links and Fear Itself, and contributed scripts to television series including Homicide: Life on the Street. He received a Helen Hayes Award in 2019 for his work in Two Trains Running.
