Biography
Fern Britton is an English television presenter and author. She trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and began her career as a continuity announcer and newsreader in the South West of England before moving to national television.
She co-presented BBC's Breakfast Time in the 1980s and hosted the cookery game show Ready Steady Cook from 1994 to 2000. Britton presented ITV's This Morning from 1999 to 2009 alongside Phillip Schofield. She has also presented Fern Britton Meets... and appeared as herself in series including Absolutely Fabulous (2003), Extras (2006) and Bad Girls (2006).
Britton has written several novels and non-fiction books. She is the daughter of actor Tony Britton.
