Biography
Fernando Argüelles, ASC AEC is a Spanish cinematographer. Born in the Asturias region, he moved to Madrid at a young age and co-founded the production company Los Films del Oasis. He trained at the Centro de Instrucción Comercial e Industrial, the University of Image Sciences and Universidad Complutense de Madrid before receiving a Fulbright Scholarship to study at the American Film Institute, where he earned an MFA in Cinematography.
Argüelles’s credits include the television series Prison Break (2006–2009), Grimm, Hemlock Grove, Scorpion, Fear the Walking Dead and Swamp Thing, as well as the films The Princess Switch: Switched Again (2020) and The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star (2021). He is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers, the Spanish Society of Cinematographers (AEC) and other professional organisations, and serves as Co-Chair of the Vision Program at the ASC.
