Biography
Ford West, born Crawford Jennings West, was an American actor and vaudeville performer. He began his career in vaudeville in 1896 and formed a successful comedy duo with Foster Ball from 1911. In 1920 he moved into film, joining Fox Studios and taking supporting roles in comedies.
West appeared uncredited as the Theatre Manager (also credited as Gillette) in Sherlock Jr. (1924) and as the Barber in Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928), both Buster Keaton films. His other credits include The Broadway Gallant (1926), King of the Wild Horses (1933) and Uncivil Warriors (1935). He was married to actress May Milloy from 1915 until his death.
