Biography
Franco Fraticelli (30 August 1928 – 26 April 2012) was an Italian film editor. Born and based in Rome, he amassed more than 150 credits over a career spanning several decades.
Fraticelli was Dario Argento's principal editor from the director's debut The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970) through Opera (1987), working on films including Suspiria (1977), Deep Red (1975), Inferno (1980) and Tenebrae (1982). He maintained a long collaboration with Lina Wertmüller, editing ten of her films from Rita the Mosquito (1966) to A Joke of Destiny (1983), notably Seven Beauties (1976). He also worked with Marco Risi on several projects and received a Kineo Award for his career in 2006.
