Biography
François Gédigier is a French film editor born in 1957 in Paris. He began working in the industry in the early 1980s as an assistant editor and sound editor before becoming a lead editor.
Gédigier has edited films including Dancer in the Dark (2000) directed by Lars von Trier, Queen Margot (1994), Intimacy (2001), On the Road (2012), Yves Saint Laurent (2014) and several works by Arnaud Desplechin, Patrice Chéreau and Claude Berri. He received a Robert award for Dancer in the Dark and César nominations for best editing.
He is married to the writer Marie Desplechin.
