Biography
Frank Adu was an American actor, also credited as Robinson Frank Adu. Born on 25 April 1937 in White Plains, New York, he died on 1 December 2018 in the Bronx, New York. He studied acting at the American Community Theater under Maxwell Glanville and appeared in numerous stage productions, including several on Broadway such as What the Wine-Sellers Buy (1974), My Sister, My Sister (1974), The Mighty Gents (1978), Joe Turner's Come and Gone (1988) and Two Trains Running (1992).
His film roles include the Drill Sergeant in Love and Death (1975), Angry Black Man in Taxi Driver (1976), Clendennon in Fort Apache, the Bronx (1981), Interrogation Cop in C.H.U.D. (1984), Chuck in Malcolm X (1992) and the Locker Room Attendant in For Love of the Game (1999). Television credits encompass appearances in The Cosby Show, Law & Order and New York Undercover.
