Biography
Fred Mandl (13 July 1908 – 21 February 1985) was a German-born cinematographer who worked primarily in American film and television. Born in Cologne, he later settled in the United States and became a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
He served as director of photography on the television series The Fugitive (1963–1964, 17 episodes), The Munsters (1964–1965) and The Twilight Zone (1964). Earlier in his career he worked as a camera operator on feature films including The Pride and the Passion (1957) and The Big Country (1958). His later credits include The Seven Minutes (1971) and several television movies.
