Biography
Freddie Highmore, born Alfred Thomas Highmore on 14 February 1992 in London, is an English actor. He began his career as a child actor and appeared as Peter Llewelyn Davies in the film Finding Neverland (2004).
Highmore is also known for his roles in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), August Rush (2007) and The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008). He later starred as Norman Bates in the television series Bates Motel (2013–2017) and as Dr. Shaun Murphy in The Good Doctor (2017–2024), on which he also worked as a producer.
Highmore was educated at Highgate School and Emmanuel College, Cambridge. His father is the actor Edward Highmore.
