Biography
Frida Perez is a writer and producer. She is co-creator of the Apple TV+ comedy series The Studio (2025), on which she is also credited as writer and co-executive producer.
Raised in the Bronx, New York, Perez graduated from Brown University and began her career in assistant roles in Los Angeles, including work for Seth Rogen. She has writing, producing and directing credits on short films including White Noise (2018) and Marina (2015), and earlier production assistant credits on feature films including Good Boys (2019) and An American Pickle (2020).
Perez won two Primetime Emmy Awards in 2025 for The Studio, for Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. She is the first Latina to win in the latter category.
