Biography
Gaetano Daniele is an Italian film producer. Born on 13 July 1956 in Nocera Inferiore, he began his career working with actor and director Massimo Troisi at the Centro Teatro Spazio theatre in San Giorgio a Cremano. The two became friends and co-founded the production company Esterno Mediterraneo Film.
Daniele produced several of Troisi’s films, including Nothing Left to Do But Cry (1984), The Ways of the Lord are Finite (1987) and I Thought It Was Love (1991). He served as a producer on The Postman (1994), which won the BAFTA Award for Best Film Not in the English Language and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. Later credits include Certified Copy (2010), Long Live Freedom (2013) and L'agenzia dei bugiardi (2019), often as line or executive producer.
